I bought this for my iPod with the impression that it would completely stop all scratches, but unfortunately, if something gets inside the case when you're putting the iPod in it, you WILL get scratches. I woulnd't recommend it for anyone who is absolutely determined not to get any damage to their iPod, but as a general case its brilliant. I've dropped the iPod from about 5ft and the case has stayed on, in tact and not damaged. Once the case is on, its fixed in place very well, but its also quite easy to get off if you want to. The only problem I've found is that you have to take the case off to put the iPod into any sort of dock - its too fat otherwise. So, if you're not too bothered about getting a few superficial scratches then I would totally recommend this case - 4*

Product fitted my needs exactly, covers the screen whilst still allowing you to easily operate the dial and charge your i-pod. The fact that they supply you with an additional face is excellent. However, the screen became scratched very quickly and the brittle plastic broke easily, also, grime and dust easily slips under the cover and scratches the i-pod itself. Not terribly 'protective' in general!

Covers all the corners of the iPod, and doesn't obstruct the scroll wheel. Also, leaves plenty of room around the minijack input and lock slider. Computer connector on the bottom is also easily accessible with the case attached. Overall, a fantastic hard-shell case. However, this case will NOT stop your iPod from breaking if you drop it - the components inside still can fracture, as there's no 'give' in the case. But, it will keep your iPod pretty much totally scratch-free if you have the case on permenantly.

I used to own an iSkin for my iPod but got increasingly frustrated by the fact that the click wheel was "protected" (covered by the gel-like skin) - which meant that I couldn't use it properly. It was really unresponsive when trying to scroll fast.
The Griffin i-clear case has a hard shell which protects my iPod from any scratches and most importantly - the click wheel is left completely OPEN, not obstructed at all. I liked it so much I bought one for my brother too. Only bad thing: its a bit difficult to get the casing open again once the iPod is inside (need to pry the side open with a coin), but still.. highly recommended!
