I had high hopes of this product but had to send it back. It worked intermittently and I suspect it kept loosing contact with the power supply from the cigar lighter. I tried it in 3 cars with the same result. I think it may be a bit 'top heavy' and wobbly. The model I had stood up on a 'stalk'. The bottom of which fed into the cigar lighter, the result was that it 'wobbled' because of the weight. My son has a model whereby the power contact into the cigar lighter is on a wire that then leads to the transmitter which lies on the seat beside him. This is much more stable and does not cut out because of power loss. I think I will look for one of those models. It may work for you, but its not for me.

I bought this item going on the good reviews on this page and was let down when it arrived!
I managed to get it set up ok and finally got it tuned in to a station that wasn't being used and it seemed to work fine, there was a bit of background noise but I think if you spent a while tuning it you could probably get rid of that.
I have an Ipod Nano 5th gen and there were no adapters other than a bit of foam to stick behind it on the rather bulky transmitter. It wouldn't take much to include one, or at least mention on the box and website that it doesn't come with one.
And finally the reason I bought this product was so I had a holder, transmitter and charger in one. (No wires) When I plugged the Ipod into the transmitter/charger the writing " Charging is not supported with this accessory" flashed up on the Ipod screen. I could not get the Ipod to charge using this product! And because it came in sealed packaging and I had to rip it to get the product out they seem a little reluctant to give me a refund!!
I don't like to leave bad reviews but I wasn't personal happy with this product.

Although the product was easy to install etc. i am disappointed with the sound quality, which afterall, is the main criterion.otherwise quite good value!

I have had one of these for about 3 or 4 years and it has only just broken - I never treated it that well and lost one of the screws but the trusty thing still soldiered on for ages until my friend carelessly broke one of the wires. My mum's been through at least 3 of the non-dock style ones in that time and spent considerably more each time than I did on this product, and she's had a lot of trouble with them - having to keep moving the transmitter around when it loses its signal etc. I've never had any signal problems with this product and once you've got to grips with the various docks for different ipods (which did take me a while) it's brilliant - no problems at all. It lasted me so well against all odds that I'll definitely buy the same one again if I can't fix mine!

It was a griffin I had before but just a plug in cable. This was just what I was looking for and at a really good price. The product looks great and fits in really well, making it easier to use.
I have been a bit disappointed with the sound quality though, I appear to be getting a lot of interference and find it hard to find a clear station.
