This was the case recommended to me by one of the Apple store guys at Regent Street London.

There's really two points to this product: to protect the screen, and to protect the back plastic of the iPhone. You know the glass screen on the 3G doesn't scratch, so the main role of this little puppy is to protect the back plastic.

Good points:
- it's one of the better looking cases out of the ones I've seen in use
- it's solid and fits very well around the handset
- the case is made of a funny grippy-ish material so it's not smooth slippery

Bad points:
- it's bulky, but which case isn't?
- the screen cover is naff. It scratches easy, and it doesn't fit very well and makes the screen less responsive, so you'll need something like the 99p Apple iPhone Reusable Screen Protector by Eforcity to accompany this case.

Verdict:
I took the case off a week after I bought it, mainly because it was taking two or three pokes to get the delete button on the screen to register the key press, plus the phone is a piece of art and doesn't deserve being covered up in any bulky case. That was until I noticed the scratches on the back of the phone, so the case is back on, with an Eforcity screen protector replacing the screen plastic that the case came with. It's been a week and I'm still happy.

Think about it though, if you marry the sexiest supermodel then would you take her out everywhere all cover up in a fur coat and a hoodie? ...yes you would if her back scratched easily. Except I'm not sure if that analogy really works.

I hope that's helped.
