I purchased the griffin road trip as an alternative to buying and fitting a new car radio which I could play my ipod through. Even though it was a fraction of the price of a new radio, and after being a little apprehensive after reading mixed reviews about fm transmitters, I was really impressed. The road trip is easy to set up and is sturdy. I recently drove to the west coast of Ireland from South Wales, and thought it an ideal opportunity to test out the Road Trip. Over the distance covered, I only needed to change the frequency once, and this was the only time I could hear interference. Once it was changed at the touch of a button, the sound quality as before was excellent. I was really impressed with this - easy to use, great sound quality and at a reasonable price.

I use it in my car and on my boat . It adds a lot of value to my 80G I-pod, and i can enjoy music everywhere .Nearly "idiot proof" to install .

We bought this ipod cradle for use in the car but were really dissappointed as it keeps losing the channel it is tuned in to. It is dangerous to re-tune while driving as you need to look away from the road and once out of the tuning band the songs break up. Would not reccommend this product.
