Sadly I have two ears so ordering this item was a total waste of time.
Checked my headphones which work fine on other devices that do not need an adapter.
Another purchase from Amazon that disappoints.

Forget about these useless adapters,ive tried quite a few of them and the sound quality is always very poor.finally plucket up the courage to get a craft knife out and shave the plastic down on my sennheiser's and at last pure fantastic sound.It took a couple of minutes to do and really doesn't take any skill.Honestly,you cant go wrong,give it a go.

Failed after a few months of light and careful use. Now the right channel cuts out intermittently and the jack needs some wiggling to get it going again. My first of two Griffin products to do this.
You get what you pay for. Rubbish.

I've had my iphone 2g for about a year. for about 6months I used the standard earphones that came with it. They then broke. I then purchased one of these which broke a few months later..got annoyed, and bought the ifrog adapter (or whatever its called) that broke after about 4 days....and now I've bought this one again. I've had a this one for a couple weeks now and already is showing signs of failing on me. i.e. I have to twist it around to get the sound coming out of both ears instead of just the one. I think I'm going to sell my iphone now.
