Belkin Incar Ipod holder / transmitter. January 16, 2010 N. Campbell (Scotland) Works well in car but does not charge '4G and 5G' Nano's, apparently the charging pin was changed from 1,2,3 G Nano's. Discharges battery of Nano over 4+ hrs approx.
Beware, this product does not work with new ipods December 26, 2009 Mr. M. J. Davis (UK) I bought this product to use with a 4th gen ipod nano not listed in the compatibility notes and the charging function does not work. This product will not charge any of the new ipods or any future ipods.
A Dream Purchase December 25, 2009 A. Duffy (Livingston, Scotland) I've had my Belkin now for a month. In value for money terms it's the best gadget I've ever bought. Installing and tuning was easy and it plays music loud and clear. I use it in two cars, mostly locally, and only occasionally have to switch to another frequency. I'll be doing a long motorway drive in the next few days so it will be interesting to see how I get on. In the meantime, if you're thinking of buying, do so. In fact, at this price, buy 2 and treat a friend!!
Doesn't work with Nano December 16, 2009 baapmp (Manchester) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The description says it works with a Nano and the instructions say so too, as long as you have a minimum firmware version. Despite my firmware being above the minimum version required in the instructions, it doesn't charge the Nano: "This accessory does not support charging."
It may be good if you have the right iPod but it's 1 star from me because it doesn't do what it says it does.
Very good value December 5, 2009 PBK (London) I've seen many, more expensive products that don't work as well as this. Of course sound quality is only FM radio and nowadays it is so hard to find an empty frequency...
Good feature: auto start / stops the ipod even if locked.
Bad: Moves the ipod menu to "main menu" when switched on.
Overall: good product, hard to believe the price!
