| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The iPod may have been designed for mobility, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy it at home. In fact, Griffin invites you to maximize your iPod's potential with the TuneCenter. This powerful device syncs your iPod to anything and everything in your home entertainment system with both audio and video support. Just dock the iPod into and let the entertainment begin. The TuneCenter features a powerful 14-button remote that lets you quickly browse through your songs and playlists as they are displayed on your TV screen. You can even set preferences such as shuffle and repeat modes, and EQ. Use TuneCenter's remote to fast forward, rewind, skip and play your music, all without getting up off the couch. Want to view your photos and videos? You can always do that through the iPod's but it's so much more satisfying to see it displayed on your big screen TV. Set up a slideshow or skim through a video without having to squint at a tiny screen. Need more music? Not a problem. The Tunecenter can access the Internet by either connecting to your Local Area Network(LAN). You can now stream music from hundreds of Internet radio stations, broadening your music choices even more. So much power in such a small package. Push your iPod to the max with the Tunecenter from Griffin.

| Customer Reviews: Not bad, but some quirks November 29, 2008 PEF (Norfolk, UK) I got one of these to be able to connect up to my TV to watch videos and see the iPod menus onscreen. It certainly does both those things, and the sound quality isn't at all bad, good enough to show up recordings made at a lower bitrate. Recordings at 192 kbps or above, or even better using Apple loseless do sound rich and detailed. and I've found myself listening to it quite a lot as a result.
Two quirks;
1. Although you can view the audio menu onscreen to select tracks and albums, there is no short cut to skip through long lists. So whilst you can use the page down feature to skip through five tracks at a time, starting at 'A' it takes quite a long time to get through the alphabet.
2. You can't access the video menus onscreen. SO when I want to watch the TV shows I've got on my iPod, you still have to get up to find the video you want on the ipod's own small screen, which seems bizarre. Also, the video quality using the s-video output isn't quite as good as from apple's own dock, though the sound quality is better.
IN fact I was going to give this four stars, but I think it's only worth three...

very disapointed. main compalint is the remote.
have to be close to unit for it to respond. tried new batteries
remote slow to respond, cannot give in instructions too quickly. takes time to respond
the main feature of this unit is being able to see ipod isting on tv screen. other than this dont bother.
