not a great fit! September 18, 2008 hhr (uk) Should have listened to the less than positive reviews - this does not fit the 2nd generation iPod nano very well. It comes loose very easily, and either falls off or have to do the start up all over. This is straightforward but not the best thing to be doing whilst driving! So if you've got kids who want to used the ipod in the car, but not quite able to go thru the steps on there own don't go for this one! The button is fiddly to use, and many times I have reset the station rather than started it up. Only two spots in my car where the reception is good - the old cheap and clunky thing that I picked up at a gas station had far better reception, just was big bulky and ugly. would recommend because it looks good and is easy to set up; but it certainly is not robust nor is the performance amazing.
Small is beautiful July 3, 2008 Mark Johnston (Wellington, NZ) This little beauty is so easy to use! Great reception both at home and in the car with my iPod Nano. I was up and running in less than 2 minutes. It's easy to follow the on-screen tuning on my Nano. Just hope I don't lose it in a car full of children!!
Very good, very easy to use May 6, 2008 Gordon Saunders Bought one of these a few months back for my 2nd generation iPod nano. Simply plug it in and tune it to a free station, press the button on the side, then select the music as normal. It will then send this music through the set frequency and through your car speakers/hi-fi speakers. One slight flaw is that it does pick up interference in the car, but once a 'sweet spot' was found (on my car it was by the clock on the dash!) it plays fine with no interference. Does not fit the 2nd generation perfectly (slight overhang on one side) but i can compromise since the device does the job. Would recommend!
1 Star should be zero does not work in car April 21, 2008 J. BELL 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Do not buy this does not work in a car it picks up the revs from the engine or the alternator with constant buzzing crackling and whirring it only works indoors when sitting beside your radio and away from any other electical appliance a complete waste of money if you intend to use in your car or anywhere near any current.
Good transmitter.. seems better than the Belkin February 25, 2008 Degeneratemoo 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this transmitter the other day and whilst it isn't perfect it is more than good enough for my needs. Sure there's a little bit of hiss sometimes but to be honest when a song is playing you can't even tell it's there and get it in a good position in the car and there won't be any hiss at all. My only complaint is that it does always seem to activate when I turn on the ipod (nano 2nd 8gig) and I have to uplug it and plug it back in to get it to work. This is only sometimes, most other times I can press the button for it to start transmitting.. not sure if I'm doing anything wrong or not. It is a shame that it doesn't come with a charger (you can buy a pass-through charger cable) as it does draw power from the ipod, just seems a bit cheap that you have to pay for the cable to charge the ipod up. Anyway, good buy, much better than my friends Belkin one which is a pain to get right for some reason.
