Maybe I got a faulty unit because my experience was very different to that of the other reviewers. the sound quality was absolutely abysmal - tinny and distorted - and the output so faint it was laughable. Imagine listening to a badly-tuned in radio 2 rooms away with all the doors closed, and you've got it.
On the other hand, Gear4 do a similar product - also available on Amazon - and the sound quality and output is fantastic. I'm keeping the Gear4 unit and sending back this one.

I bought this product for my ipod and was really impressed. For a relatively small speaker, the sound was loud yet of good quality.
I would completely recommend this little product to anyone who likes ipod gadgets. The podwave is my new friend!

Honestly, I can't believe anyone can say this product is good. I got mine, listened to it and couldn't believe any company would have the cheek to market such a totally crap product. I brought it to use on holiday, needless to say it didn't make it with me. With my 5g Video ipod and MP3's ripped at 256kbps VBR and 320kbps CBR it sounds like a really old crappy transistor radio. Its only saving grace is the fact that its so quiet you can barely hear it even standing 12 feet away from it. Trust me, if you waste your money on this you only have yourself to blame. Don't say I didn't tell you.
It'll be interesting to see if Amazon actually post this review, if your reading this on the website then fair play to them.

This product is amazing for the price. It is so small and compact i can not belive the sound quality it produces. If you have purchased one of these witch i recomend you do set your e.q under settings to treble booster for maximum sound quality.
If you are thinking about purchasing this item i recomend you do. Amazing quality at a very cheep price.

id just like to say i read all the reveiws before i bought this unit, and when i got it i was very dissapointed inded, you all must have very good hearing, because i thought this unit is rubbish and for the money,not worth it, its all right if you want to strap it to your ear and walk around like that all day to here it,so i think i'll stick with my head phones.
